This bureau has strong links back to the Arts and Crafts movement. Commissioned by an individual who already owned a piece by Alan Peters OBE (whom Jane worked with 20 years ago) the customer wanted to pay homage to him and the movement.

The unusual markings of Spalted Beech and the deep colour of Brown Oak are both achieved by natural changes within the tree, which are stabilised when the timber is seasoned.
