New work. The reveal sideboard.Inspired by the idea of peeling back a layer to ‘reveal' a precious timber, this simple detail was cleverly applied to the handle on this recently exhibited piece of furniture. The reveal sideboard was greatly received when it was shown recently in July 2008 at www.artinaction.org.uk and in August 2008 at www.celebrationofcraftsmanship.com. Visually it generated a number of admiring smiles and also numerous questions related to how it had been produced. The handles were laminated around a former and then jointed into the door. Due to our virtuoso makers however, interestingly the joint went completely undetected by all! Click here to view the reveal sideboard in our furniture gallery. |

A place for everything'A place for everything, and everything in its place'. This dressing table was recently designed to house jewellery discretely and yet be easily accessible. Visually, when closed the flaps are lockable and barely distinguishable from the rest of the top. The clients brief although exacting was matched completely. The client was extremely pleased with the finished piece and a matching mirror and stool are currently being produced. Click here to view the dressing table in our furniture gallery. |
