Furniture Training School
At Williams and Cleal we are passionate about furniture, quality craftmanship and beautiful functional design. We strongly believe, having experienced this ourselves, that having the opportunity to learn from a leading designer / maker, in a professional environment, alongside some extremely talented craftspeople is both unique, inspiring and above all rewarding for the student.
Williams and Cleal offer a range of courses from a weekend taster to a full year furniture design and making course. They also offer an unusual tailor made service which allows students to select both the duration and content of their own course.
All the group sizes are restricted to ensure individual attention.

Full time 40-week furniture course
A perfect choice for those wanting to pursue a career change or those wishing to start their own business and develop their existing skill base. The course covers design and making with at least 75% of the time based within the workshop. The course can be individually built according to student's requirements.

REQUIREMENTS
No formal qualifications required but students must have a strong interest in furniture making and a passion for craftsmanship.

Bespoke service

1 Week - Introduction to fine furniture making
This course has been designed for the complete beginner or for the more experienced who would benefit from going ‘back to basics'.
INTAKE
Monday 26th July - 30th July 2010.

No formal training or knowledge, just a passion to learn new skills.

1 Week - Veneering, inlay and laminating
Williams and Cleal have honed these skills over some 20 years. Students will learn how to achieve professional results whilst gaining an aesthetic awareness of their uses.
INTAKE
Monday 2nd August - Friday 6th August 2010
REQUIREMENTS
A basic understanding of furniture making is preferable but not essential.
